Workshop Ticket Terms and Conditions
1. General Information
1.1 Event Name: Nelson Jewellery Week (NJW).
1.2 Workshop Types: Jewellery-making, jewellery techniques, and craft skills workshops, typically held in small groups with experienced tutors.
1.3 Skill Levels: Workshops cater to beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. The required skill level is detailed in the description of each workshop.
1.4 Dates and Venues: All workshops occur between 10th and 16th April 2025 at venues in Nelson CBD.
2. Ticketing
2.1 Ticket Pricing: Prices vary depending on the duration of the workshop and materials included. These details are listed with each workshop description.
2.2 Inclusions: Unless stated otherwise, ticket prices include the materials required for the workshop. Material costs are noted in the workshop information. Tickets do not include meals or additional amenities.
2.3 How to Purchase: Tickets can be purchased through the Nelson Jewellery Week website, managed by the Eventotron ticketing platform.
2.4 Ticket Delivery: Attendees will receive their tickets and receipts via email upon successful booking.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
3.1 Attendee Cancellations:
Cancellations made one month or more before the workshop date will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations made less than one month before the workshop date are not eligible for a refund.
3.2 Event Cancellations or Changes:
NJW reserves the right to change workshop details, including venue and/or time.
If a workshop date is changed, attendees may request a full refund.
If a workshop is cancelled by NJW, attendees will receive a full refund.
4. Attendance
4.1 Age Restriction: Workshops are open to attendees aged 16 and over.
4.2 Late Arrivals: Late arrivals may be permitted at the tutor’s discretion. No refunds will be issued for attendees who fail to show.
5. Transfers and Resale
5.1 Transferability: Tickets may be transferred, but NJW must be informed of the name and contact details of the new ticket holder.
5.2 Resale: Tickets cannot be resold for more than their original purchase price.
6. Liability
6.1 Health and Safety: Some workshops may involve the use of potentially hazardous materials or equipment, such as hot tools, soldering equipment, or kilns. All necessary safety equipment will be provided, and health and safety guidelines will be communicated before the workshop begins.
6.2 Damage or Loss: NJW is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal belongings during workshops.
6.3 Insurance: NJW holds public liability insurance. Attendees are not required to obtain additional insurance.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Ownership of Creations: Attendees will usually be allowed to take home items they create during the workshops.
7.2 Photography and Recording: NJW will be taking photographs during workshops. Attendees must obtain permission from tutors and other participants before taking photographs or recording during the event.
8. Accessibility and Special Requirements
8.1 Accessibility: All workshop venues are wheelchair accessible. Attendees with additional accessibility requirements are encouraged to inform NJW in advance to ensure appropriate accommodations are arranged.
8.2 Special Requests: Attendees can email Andy at andy@acn.org.nz with any dietary, medical, or access-related requests.
9. Mailing List
9.1 By purchasing a ticket, attendees consent to being added to the Nelson Jewellery Week mailing list. Attendees can unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in the emails.
10. Additional Terms
10.1 Code of Conduct: NJW has a zero-tolerance policy toward racism, sexism, threatening behavior, or harassment of any kind. Attendees who violate this policy may be removed from the event without a refund.
10.2 Force Majeure: NJW is not liable for cancellations or disruptions caused by events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or government restrictions.
10.3 Jurisdiction: These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
